Hello, I’m whigoori.
I’m a Korean living in Seoul. I’ve traveled all over the world, and everywhere I went, the best moments came from local advice: the places, food, and stories that never make it into guidebooks.
Now more travelers than ever are coming to Korea, and I want to return the favor. Letters from Korea is where I share Korean travel and culture through the eyes of someone who actually lives here. Places locals go, food we actually eat, and the little things about Korean life that travelers wonder about but rarely get a proper answer to.
About the name: whigoori is a mix of whiskey and neoguri (너구리), the Korean word for raccoon. A whiskey-loving raccoon in Seoul, writing you letters at his own pace.
Sometimes I’ll also write about whatever’s on my mind. That’s what letters are for.
If that sounds like your kind of thing, subscribe and I’ll see you in your inbox.
